The UV Disinfection and Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) course is an operator-focused water treatment training course covering UV disinfection, UV/H₂O₂, and UV/chlorine treatment systems. The course focuses on the latest developments in these technologies and provides practical knowledge for monitoring, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing UV treatment systems. Participants learn how UV disinfection systems are designed and validated, along with the fundamentals, reaction pathways, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of UV/H₂O₂ and UV/chlorine systems. This water operator course is designed for water operators, supervisors, managers, engineers, decision-makers, consulting engineers and managers, water quality specialists, laboratory personnel, and regulators. The course is approved by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment for 0.7 CEUs under Ontario Regulation 128/04 (Course ID #18095). Approval for 0.7 CEUs can also be requested for participants from other Canadian provinces or U.S. states. Training is available through interactive virtual sessions consisting of two half-day sessions, as well as classroom and on-site training. On-site training can be tailored to a water treatment plant’s processes and hands-on training needs. This water operator course provides practical training in UV disinfection and advanced oxidation processes, with an emphasis on system operation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization.
