Service Description

The PFAS Water Treatment & Disposal Training course is an advanced, CEU-approved water operator course focused on PFAS treatment technologies, regulations, monitoring, and operational best practices for drinking water systems. This water operator course covers PFAS chemistry, health impacts, current regulations in Canada, the United States, and Europe, and treatment approaches for reducing PFAS to non-detectable levels. Participants learn about and compare treatment technologies including granular activated carbon (GAC), ion exchange (IX), nanofiltration (NF), and reverse osmosis (RO), as well as PFAS monitoring, sampling, treatment performance, residuals management, and disposal options. The course combines scientific principles with practical operating experience, real-world case studies, interactive questions, and instructor-led training. It is designed for drinking water operators, operations supervisors, municipal water managers, process engineers, consulting engineers, environmental professionals, utility managers, and regulators. The course is approved for 0.7 CEUs in Ontario under Ontario Regulation 128/04 and has also received approvals in several U.S. states. Training includes live instructor-led sessions and a Certificate of Completion, with virtual, classroom, customized on-site, and private training options available. This water operator course helps participants evaluate PFAS treatment technologies, improve treatment performance, manage PFAS residuals and disposal options, support regulatory compliance, make informed operational decisions, and prepare for evolving PFAS requirements.
