The DBP Management Course is an advanced, CEU-approved water treatment training course focused on understanding, controlling, and managing disinfection by-products (DBPs) in drinking water systems. This course provides practical knowledge on DBP formation, treatment technologies, chlorine dosing, and strategies for monitoring and reducing trihalomethanes (THMs), haloacetic acids (HAAs), and other regulated DBPs. Participants will also evaluate technologies for removing natural organic matter and DBP precursors, including granular activated carbon (GAC), enhanced coagulation, ion exchange, ozone, biofiltration, and nanofiltration. Designed for drinking water operators, operations supervisors, municipal water managers, engineers, environmental professionals, utility managers, consultants, and regulators, the course combines scientific principles with practical operating experience, interactive exercises, and real-world case studies. The course is approved for 0.7 CEUs in Ontario under Ontario Regulation 128/04 and includes live instructor-led sessions and a Certificate of Completion. Customized on-site and private virtual training is also available for municipalities, utilities, consulting engineering firms, regulators, and industrial water facilities.
