Training for Water Operators (0.7 CEUs)
Service Description
The Optimizing Groundwater Treatments course is an operator-focused water treatment training course covering the treatment of common groundwater contaminants, including iron, manganese, arsenic, and ammonia. Participants learn about multiple treatment approaches for each contaminant, along with the operation and troubleshooting of groundwater treatment processes. The course also reviews applied research in groundwater treatment, including electro-coagulation and ferrate treatments, and uses scenario-based case studies and group work to apply the knowledge to practical situations. Designed for water operators, supervisors, managers, engineers, decision-makers, consulting engineers and managers, water quality specialists, laboratory personnel, and regulators, this course provides practical insights for troubleshooting, process optimization, and upgrades. The course is approved by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment for 0.7 CEUs under Ontario Regulation 128/04. Approval for 0.7 CEUs may also be requested for participants in other Canadian provinces or U.S. states. Training is available through interactive virtual sessions as well as classroom and on-site training. On-site training can be tailored to a specific water treatment plant’s processes and hands-on training needs. This water operator course is designed to build knowledge of groundwater treatment processes and provide practical training in the operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of groundwater treatment systems.
