The Designing PFAS Drinking Water Treatment Systems course is an advanced, CPD-approved professional engineering course focused on PFAS drinking water treatment design, process selection, system performance, and engineering applications. This professional engineering course covers PFAS chemistry, classifications, regulatory requirements, treatment challenges, and the evaluation and design of treatment processes including granular activated carbon (GAC), ion exchange, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, and emerging adsorbent technologies. Participants also learn about PFAS residuals management, monitoring, process selection, pilot testing, introductory PFAS modelling concepts, and current research developments. The course is designed for Professional Engineers (P.Eng.), process and design engineers, consulting engineers, municipal water engineers, utility engineering staff, water treatment specialists, and environmental professionals. It combines engineering principles with practical experience, real-world engineering case studies, live instructor-led sessions, interactive Q&A, and a Certificate of Completion. The course provides 7 hours of CPD in Ontario and is available through virtual and classroom sessions. Customized on-site and private virtual training is also available for municipalities, utilities, consulting engineering firms, regulators, and industrial water facilities.
